Decoloration

DECOLORATION

Due to the increasing environmental sensitivity and the obligations stipulated by the current legislation, most of the industrial plants that consume water have established their wastewater treatment plants. Pursuant to Article 3 of the “WATER POLLUTION REGULATION” published in 2012, a “Color Parameter” requirement is imposed for the industries subject to the specified tables.

Direct discharge of colored wastewater into the receipt environment affects the photosynthetic activities adversely depending on a decrease in light transmittance in the relevant water body, and decreases the dissolved oxygen concentration in the environment over time. At the same time, due to the toxic effects of the dyestuffs and their by-products on nature and their mutagenic and carcinogenic effects on humans, they must be treated. Therefore, it is inevitable that the color parameter is accepted as pollutant parameter as well as the pollutant parameters such as dissolved organic solids (DOC), suspended solids (SS).

Industries, Which Most Commonly Encountered with Wastewater Color Problems:

• Textile Industry
• Leather Industry
• Food and Beverage Industry
• Paper Industry
• Chemistry and Petro-chemistry

To reduce the color parameter in Waste Water to the discharge limits according to the regulation, Liberta Kimya helps you to comply with the environmental regulations and reduce your costs for its products.
