Corrosion control starts with metallurgy, not with a generic inhibitor.
Product selection depends on metal type, water analysis, pH, oxygen, conductivity, temperature, deposits, system age and application review.
Analysis First
Water analysis before product recommendation.
TDS, SDS and certificates are shared upon request.
Corrosion appears as leaks, rust, black water, metal loss, tube failure or equipment damage, but the root cause often begins with water chemistry, deposits, oxygen, pH imbalance, galvanic interaction or poor post-cleaning protection. Liberta does not treat corrosion as a single-product problem. The correct route depends on metallurgy, operating mode, water analysis, system temperature, oxygen ingress, historical treatment and whether the system has already been cleaned or damaged. The page should connect corrosion diagnosis to PureGuard® corrosion-control programs, passivation support, cleaning/flushing sequences and the relevant system pages.
Typical water-related problems
| Problem | Why It Matters | Response |
|---|---|---|
| Oxygen corrosion | Dissolved oxygen can attack steel surfaces, especially in boiler feedwater, condensate and poorly sealed closed systems. | |
| Acidic corrosion | Low pH, CO2 in condensate, soft water or incorrect alkalinity control can increase metal loss. | |
| Under-deposit corrosion | Scale, sludge and iron oxide deposits can create local cells beneath deposits and hide active corrosion. | |
| Galvanic corrosion | Mixed metallurgy and contact between different metals may accelerate corrosion under unsuitable water chemistry. | |
| Microbiologically influenced corrosion risk | Biofilm and microbiological activity may interact with corrosion mechanisms; this must be addressed without biocidal overclaims. |
